Market Evening Wrap 10th Apr. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 31,728.18pts with a gap of -109.12pts. Later on index posted a high of 32,086.10pts where a net change of 248.80pts was recorded.While a day low of 31,377.10pts with net chage of -460.20pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 32,033.20pts with net chage of 195.90pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 126.83 million shares with net change of -89.13 million shares or -41.27% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 103.04 million shares with net change of -69.35 million shares or -40.23%. UNITY, HASCOL and PAEL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 28.77, 25.83 and 14.08 and net price change of 7.05, 0.74 and -6.49 percent respectively.

Today, 305 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 173 out of these closed with net positive price change while 16 closed with no change, but 116 companies closed with net negative price change. BATA, IDYM and JLICL lead the price gainers with net price change of 45.00, 36.05 and 19.59 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, PAKT and SAPT remained top three price losers with net price change of -310.81, -131.17 and -50.44 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 42.12, 28.77 and 28.45 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 146.92, 47.51 and 26.89 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES and ENGINEERING sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -127.00, -3.77 and -1.43 points respectively.
