Market Evening Wrap 10th Aug. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,122.72pts with a gap of 93.03pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,195.22pts where a net change of 165.53pts was recorded.While a day low of 39,828.91pts with net chage of -200.78pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 39,914.76pts with net chage of -114.93pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 576.54 million shares with net change of -152.19 million shares or -20.88% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 289.98 million shares with net change of -78.87 million shares or -21.38%. UNITYR2, HASCOL and WTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 81.62, 65.30 and 35.84 and net price change of 3.40, 6.82 and -9.46 percent respectively.

Today, 355 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 112 out of these closed with net positive price change while 26 closed with no change but 217 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. UPFL, BATA and MTL lead the price gainers with net price change of 345.00, 116.82 and 46.50 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, ILTM and WYETH remained top three price losers with net price change of -100.00, -64.07 and -35.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 77.98, 77.69 and 37.18 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 26.68, 22.21 and 19.81 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -49.50, -38.65 and -35.68 points respectively.
