Market Evening Wrap 10th Dec. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,648.73pts with a positive gap of 125.66pts during current trading session and moved towards its day at 43,241.75pts with net change of 718.71 pts. Index remained bullish during the day but mostly market participants remained volatile during current trading session. While session suspended at 43,207.05pts with net change of 683.98pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor increased by 10.33% or 37.44 million shares on DoD basis to settle at 399.93 million shares. While trading volume of KSE100 limited companies also witnessed an increment of 53.97 million shares or 21.63% and settled at 303.46 million shares. BOP, KEL and UNITY lead the volume leaders with price change of 6.44, 6.77 and 6.25 percent and net trading volume of 53.07, 33.46 and 24.31 million shares.

Today 348 companies have participated in trading at PSX. While 226 out of these close with a positive note while 16 companies closed in neutral zone but 106 companies closed with negative price change. MARI, SRVI and BATA lead the price gainers with net price change of 46.89, 27.46 and 23.00 Rs/share. While on the other side PMPK, SFL and BHAT remained top three price laggards with net price change of -73.64, -45.00 and -14.00 Rs/share.

Banks, Technology and Power sectors remained volume leaders with net trading volume of 81.29, 44.68 and 39.35 million shares. Exploration, Banks and Power sectors have pushed index into positive zone by adding 216.30, 198.36 and 99.14 points with accumulated average price change of 2.68, 2.67 and 0.45 percent in their respective companies.
