Market Evening Wrap 10th Jul. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 36,105.82pts with a gap of -36.35pts. Later on index posted a high of 36,279.56pts where a net change of 137.39pts was recorded.While a day low of 36,003.18pts with net chage of -138.99pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 36,190.40pts with net chage of 48.23pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 292.70 million shares with net change of -174.78 million shares or -37.39% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 189.99 million shares with net change of -143.35 million shares or -43.00%. UNITY, MLCF and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 27.98, 24.64 and 14.25 and net price change of -2.51, 3.24 and -3.08 percent respectively.

Today, 330 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 145 out of these closed in positive zone while 18 closed with no price change but 167 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.COLG, HINO and WYETH lead the price gainers with net price change of 39.00, 35.03 and 27.46 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, ARPL and SIEM remained top three price losers with net price change of -51.00, -24.00 and -19.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 43.46, 33.25 and 27.99 million shares respectively. CEMENT, COMMERCIAL BANKS and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 55.25, 45.31 and 10.49 points, while on the other side PHARMACEUTICALS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -21.18, -15.56 and -14.73 points respectively.
