Market Evening Wrap 10th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,823.15pts with a gap of 19.55pts. Later on index posted a high of 35,111.54pts where a net change of 307.94pts was recorded.While a day low of 34,823.15pts with net change of 19.55pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 35,065.08pts with net change of 261.48pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 218.37 million shares with net change of -19.90 million shares or -8.35% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 139.60 million shares with net change of -5.95 million shares or -4.09%. PRLR1, TRG and BOP remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 11.68, 10.90 and 9.00 and net price change of 0.79, 1.17 and 2.95 percent respectively.

Today, 350 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 188 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 21 companies closed with no change but 141 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, SFL and ABOT lead the price gainers with net price change of 59.99, 51.37 and 27.13 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, SAPL and MARI remained top three price losers with net price change of -40.00, -33.99 and -24.85 Pkr/share respectively.

Today COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 32.88, 24.53 and 23.26 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, PHARMACEUTICALS and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 250.89, 29.35 and 14.64 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, CEMENT and ENGINEERING sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -36.01, -14.35 and -7.22 points respectively.
