Market Evening Wrap 10th Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,917.48pts with a gap of 292.36pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,226.11pts where a net change of 600.99pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,891.11pts with net change of 265.99pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,198.29pts with net change of 573.17pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 426.40 million shares with net change of 30.06 million shares or 7.58% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 174.40 million shares with net change of 83.79 million shares or 92.47%. ANL, SERFR and MLCF remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 39.67, 33.54 and 26.97 and net price change of -1.00, -17.99 and 1.95 percent respectively.

Today, 392 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 218 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 160 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. PSEL, NESTLE and ABOT lead the price gainers with net price change of 95.00, 58.20 and 35.37 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side AKDHL, WYETH and MFFL remained top three price losers with net price change of -15.01, -13.25 and -8.99 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 105.92, 46.45 and 43.58 million shares respectively. CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 139.44, 128.51 and 116.06 points, while on the other side FERTILIZER, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -47.90, -19.48 and -2.19 points respectively.
