The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,049.29pts with a gap of 134.53pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,706.08pts where a net change of 791.32pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,049.29pts with net chage of 134.53pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,559.15pts with net chage of 644.39pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 600.04 million shares with net change of 23.49 million shares or 4.07% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 401.60 million shares with net change of 111.62 million shares or 38.49%. HASCOL, HASCOL and KEL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 65.42, 65.42 and 36.00 and net price change of 7.46, 7.46 and 6.79 percent respectively.

Today,356 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and out of these 212 closed with net positive price change. While 21 companies closed with no change but 123 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.UPFL, UPFL and ILTM lead the price gainers with net price change of 590.00, 590.00 and 68.17 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, NESTLE and COLG remained top three price losers with net price change of -42.15, -42.15 and -34.75 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 189.22, 144.77 and 135.82 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 173.39, 160.19 and 130.20 points, while on the other side AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and PAPER & BOARD sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -28.33, -11.47 and -3.80 points respectively.
