Market Evening Wrap 11th Aug. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,313.54pts with a gap of 178.06pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,627.59pts where a net change of 492.11pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,292.45pts with net change of 156.97pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,377.38pts with net change of 241.90pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 382.58 million shares with net change of 12.71 million shares or 3.44% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 138.31 million shares with net change of 9.84 million shares or 7.66%. GGL, WTL and EPCL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 27.60, 26.71 and 25.98 and net price change of 2.28, -0.58 and 3.52 percent respectively.

Today, 382 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 177 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 23 companies closed with no change but 182 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. INDU, SFL and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 69.36, 58.79 and 34.87 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, SERF and ARPL remained top three price losers with net price change of -135.00, -40.43 and -19.45 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CHEMICAL and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 94.27, 55.82 and 31.03 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, FERTILIZER and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have supported index by adding 87.41, 37.17 and 32.69 points, while on the other side MISCELLANEOUS, TOBACCO and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -4.01, -2.97 and -1.10 points respectively.
