Market Evening Wrap 11th Dec. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,477.74pts with a gap of 171.90pts. Later on index posted a high of 42,628.01pts where a net change of 322.17pts was recorded. While a day low of 42,424.12pts with net chage of 118.28pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 42,470.39pts with net change of 164.55pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 557.34 million shares with net change of 84.99 million shares or 17.99% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 302.72 million shares with net change of -5.60 million shares or -1.82%. PRL, ANL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 84.82, 35.33 and 35.20 and net price change of 7.02, 7.49 and -0.63 percent respectively.

Today, 386 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 209 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 20 companies closed with no change but 157 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, SAPT and MARI lead the price gainers with net price change of 94.48, 40.00 and 37.72 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side ISIL, WYETH and PMPK remained top three price losers with net price change of -30.48, -29.00 and -24.99 Pkr/share respectively.

Today REFINERY, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 107.21, 70.66 and 39.36 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 93.01, 30.51 and 15.79 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and INSURANCE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -34.99, -17.80 and -8.50 points respectively.
