Market Evening Wrap 11th Mar. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 43,673.78pts with a gap of -17.90pts. Later on index posted a high of 43,891.00pts where a net change of 199.32pts was recorded. While a day low of 42,689.42pts with net change of -1,002.26pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 42,779.76pts with net change of -911.92pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 406.08 million shares with net change of 42.88 million shares or 11.81% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 196.93 million shares with net change of 8.61 million shares or 4.57%. UNITY, TRG and HUMNL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 34.89, 27.09 and 21.53 and net price change of -7.46, -7.50 and -6.34 percent respectively.

Today, 357 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 47 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 11 companies closed with no change but 299 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. WYETH, MUREB and PKGS lead the price gainers with net price change of 26.83, 20.00 and 8.07 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, SUTM and SFL remained top three price losers with net price change of -237.50, -81.75 and -67.27 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 89.70, 38.10 and 34.89 million shares respectively. INSURANCE, MISCELLANEOUS and LEASING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 7.44, 0.83 and 0.00 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -211.33, -94.62 and -87.27 points respectively.
