Market Evening Wrap 11th May. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,304.66pts with a gap of 36.97pts. Later on index posted a high of 33,316.06pts where a net change of 48.37pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,126.15pts with net chage of -141.54pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,283.79pts with net chage of 16.10pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 198.24 million shares with net change of 110.24 million shares or 125.26% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 87.69 million shares with net change of 24.77 million shares or 39.37%. WTL, TRG and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 62.43, 15.80 and 15.15 and net price change of 28.21, 7.50 and 2.81 percent respectively.

Today, 323 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 166 out of these closed with net positive price change while 31 closed with no change but 126 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. IDYM, WYETH and FEROZ lead the price gainers with net price change of 46.01, 27.85 and 20.22 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side UPFL, BHAT and COLG remained top three price losers with net price change of -700.00, -49.99 and -25.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 94.28, 16.47 and 15.16 million shares respectively. PHARMACEUTICALS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and INSURANCE sectors have supported index by adding 47.27, 25.32 and 17.53 points, while on the other side POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and CHEMICAL sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -22.70, -19.26 and -13.67 points respectively.
