Market Evening Wrap 11th Sep. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,745.81pts with a gap of 98.46pts. Later on index posted a high of 42,869.69pts where a net change of 222.34pts was recorded.While a day low of 42,457.53pts with net chage of -189.82pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 42,530.67pts with net chage of -116.68pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 526.18 million shares with net change of -358.77 million shares or -40.54% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 309.72 million shares with net change of -188.89 million shares or -37.88%. HASCOL, BYCO and PIBTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 60.62, 54.62 and 25.73 and net price change of 4.10, -5.84 and -1.09 percent respectively.

Today,364 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 163 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 11 companies closed with no change but 190 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. UPFL, SAPT and HINO lead the price gainers with net price change of 600.00, 52.08 and 43.44 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, BHAT and ILTM remained top three price losers with net price change of -325.99, -64.99 and -61.98 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, REFINERY and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 68.42, 65.54 and 47.57 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 42.44, 27.66 and 22.85 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, CEMENT and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -57.20, -56.61 and -26.22 points respectively.
