Market Evening Wrap 12th April. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,221.17pts with a gap of 34.69pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,267.06pts where a net change of 80.58pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,758.34pts with net change of -428.14pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,978.05pts with net change of -208.43pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 503.52 million shares with net change of -184.52 million shares or -26.82% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 173.42 million shares with net change of -119.59 million shares or -40.81%. WTL, TRG and GGL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 73.75, 42.17 and 38.84 and net price change of 6.29, 5.69 and 6.53 percent respectively.

Today, 354 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 129 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 25 companies closed with no change but 200 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. AKDCL, SHEZ and TRG lead the price gainers with net price change of 28.69, 10.00 and 9.08 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, SFL and PMPK remained top three price losers with net price change of -47.07, -38.00 and -37.62 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CHEMICAL and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 216.79, 47.59 and 33.49 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST and SYNTHETIC & RAYON sectors have supported index by adding 69.89, 3.21 and 2.90 points, while on the other side CEMENT, PHARMACEUTICALS and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -42.13, -38.13 and -38.08 points respectively.
