Market Evening Wrap 12th Feb. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 39,849.71pts with a positive gap of 135.25pts during current trading session and moved towards 40,213.51pts where net change of 499.05pts was recorded but from that region index took a dip or intraday correction towards 39,963.73pts. While index posted a day high of 40,637.79pts with a net change of 923.33pts and later on index settled at 40,531.13pts with a slight dip with net change of 816.67pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor inched up by 18.66 million shares or 11.55% on DoD basis to settle at 180.19 million shares. Trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also increased by 10.51 million shares or 9.06% and settled at 126.46 million shares. HASCOL, MLCF and UNITY remained volume leaders with net trading volume of 16.24, 12.13 and 10.55 million shares and price change of 2.96, 3.77 and 2.54 percent respectively.

Today, 360 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 251 out of these closed with a net positive price change, while 21 companies closed with no price change but 88 companies closed with net negative price change. BHAT, IDYM and MARI lead the price gainers with net price change of 54.00, 37.00 and 35.28 Rs/share. While on the other side UPFL, COLG and NESTLE remained top three price losers with net price change of -468.00, -79.99 and -73.00 Rs/share.

Cement, OMCs and Technology sectors lead the volume numbers with net trading volume of 32.39, 20.36 and 19.21 million shares. Banks, OMCs and Cement sectors pushed index into positive zone by adding 119.80, 93.65 and 65.08 points with accumulated average price change of 1.83, 2.26 and 2.92 percent respectively.
