The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,818.83pts with a gap of -309.75pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,818.83pts where a net change of -309.75pts was recorded.While a day low of 34,503.94pts with net change of -624.64pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,611.23pts with net change of -517.35pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 177.72 million shares with net change of -92.84 million shares or -34.31% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 115.06 million shares with net change of -30.18 million shares or -20.78%. ANL, MLCF and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 12.69, 11.35 and 10.80 and net price change of 7.44, -0.79 and -2.46 percent respectively.

Today, 314 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 82 out of these closed with net positive price change while 26 closed with no change but 206 companies closed in negative zone at day end. NESTLE, IDYM and AKDCL lead the price gainers with net price change of 60.00, 27.08 and 6.11 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, ARPL and MARI remained top three price losers with net price change of -100.00, -23.50 and -18.16 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 30.95, 18.55 and 17.94 million shares respectively. TEXTILE SPINNING, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have supported index by adding 1.60, 1.17 and 0.46 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -184.09, -109.84 and -59.50 points respectively.
