The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,178.68pts with a gap of -18.64pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,178.68pts where a net change of -18.64pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,492.75pts with net chage of -704.57pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,564.55pts with net chage of -632.77pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 328.28 million shares with net change of 84.02 million shares or 34.40% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 167.11 million shares with net change of 37.43 million shares or 28.86%. UNITY, SNBL and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 29.59, 22.54 and 19.63 and net price change of -2.94, 5.35 and -5.09 percent respectively.

Today,343 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 83 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 11 companies closed with no change but 249 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. ILTM, WYETH and SUTM lead the price gainers with net price change of 99.59, 76.27 and 23.43 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, BATA and SFL remained top three price losers with net price change of -70.99, -60.78 and -47.94 Pkr/share respectively.

Today COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 48.93, 38.61 and 32.02 million shares respectively. GLASS & CERAMICS, CLOSE - END MUTUAL FUND and MODARABAS sectors have supported index by adding 3.15, 0.76 and 0.64 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -113.40, -112.26 and -85.53 points respectively.
