The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 31,953.34pts with a gap of -79.86pts. Later on index posted a high of 31,953.34pts where a net change of -79.86pts was recorded.While a day low of 30,928.16pts with net chage of -1,105.04pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 31,032.99pts with net chage of -1,000.21pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 153.56 million shares with net change of 26.73 million shares or 21.08% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 126.26 million shares with net change of 23.22 million shares or 22.53%. HASCOL, MLCF and PIOC remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 16.97, 12.70 and 8.35 and net price change of -1.98, -6.85 and -5.30 percent respectively.

Today, 314 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 48 out of these closed with net positive price change while 22 closed with no price change but 244 companies closed in negative zone at day end. SFL, IDYM and JLICL lead the price gainers with net price change of 45.41, 43.81 and 17.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, BATA and MARI remained top three price losers with net price change of -426.50, -44.00 and -42.36 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 39.72, 21.81 and 14.05 million shares respectively. TEXTILE SPINNING, LEASING COMPANIES and TEXTILE WEAVING sectors have supported index by adding 2.37, 0.06 and 0.00 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -294.55, -135.66 and -113.26 points respectively.
