Market Evening Wrap 13th April. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,952.02pts with a gap of -26.03pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,133.41pts where a net change of 155.36pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,780.06pts with net change of -197.99pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,048.57pts with net change of 70.52pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 473.43 million shares with net change of -30.09 million shares or -5.98% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 183.85 million shares with net change of 10.43 million shares or 6.02%. FNEL, UNITY and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 106.56, 29.89 and 28.55 and net price change of -7.73, 0.84 and 1.20 percent respectively.

Today, 362 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 154 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 23 companies closed with no change but 185 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. AKDCL, NESTLE and ATLH lead the price gainers with net price change of 30.84, 30.00 and 23.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side GATI, ISIL and SRVI remained top three price losers with net price change of -41.54, -27.99 and -16.87 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, Investment and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 122.91, 111.26 and 42.56 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and INSURANCE sectors have supported index by adding 99.96, 13.43 and 9.97 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -43.61, -15.27 and -9.25 points respectively.
