Market Evening Wrap 13th Aug. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,543.25pts with a gap of 70.07pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,564.18pts where a net change of 91.00pts was recorded.While a day low of 39,898.22pts with net chage of -574.96pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,290.74pts with net chage of -182.44pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 556.09 million shares with net change of -35.02 million shares or -5.93% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 342.13 million shares with net change of -54.10 million shares or -13.65%. UNITY, HASCOL and UNITYR2 remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 60.27, 50.78 and 50.64 and net price change of 7.75, 6.38 and 32.05 percent respectively.

Today,361 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and out of these 168 closed with net positive price change. While 15 companies closed with no change but 178 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.SFL, PMRS and SAPL lead the price gainers with net price change of 59.00, 32.00 and 26.58 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, BATA and PMPK remained top three price losers with net price change of -70.49, -48.00 and -45.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 76.99, 72.95 and 60.27 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 42.14, 31.52 and 31.32 points, while on the other side FERTILIZER, Investment and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -204.41, -24.75 and -16.51 points respectively.
