Market Evening Wrap 13th Jul. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 36,348.43pts with a gap of 158.03pts. Later on index posted a high of 36,722.13pts where a net change of 531.73pts was recorded.While a day low of 36,348.43pts with net chage of 158.03pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 36,635.85pts with net chage of 445.45pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 468.44 million shares with net change of 175.74 million shares or 60.04% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 324.09 million shares with net change of 134.10 million shares or 70.58%. MLCF, PAEL and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 76.45, 21.92 and 21.22 and net price change of 5.12, 4.31 and 4.18 percent respectively.

Today, 369 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 209 out of these closed in positive zone while 17 closed with no price change but 143 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.RMPL, INDU and IDYM lead the price gainers with net price change of 365.00, 59.62 and 41.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side ILTM, PMRS and SAPT remained top three price losers with net price change of -107.97, -45.77 and -25.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and ENGINEERING sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 144.53, 43.23 and 34.25 million shares respectively. CEMENT, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 159.07, 61.11 and 57.59 points, while on the other side INSURANCE, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and TOBACCO sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -7.70, -7.51 and -5.68 points respectively.
