Market Evening Wrap 13th May. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,728.04pts with a gap of 125.02pts. Later on index posted a high of 33,802.87pts where a net change of 199.85pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,637.57pts with net chage of 34.55pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,693.04pts with net chage of 90.02pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 219.20 million shares with net change of -5.28 million shares or -2.35% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 143.22 million shares with net change of -6.10 million shares or -4.08%. MLCF, TRG and DCL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 23.24, 16.31 and 16.18 and net price change of -0.99, 7.47 and 8.86 percent respectively.

Today,333 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 151 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 21 companies closed with no change but 161 companies closed with net negative price change.RMPL, SAPL and MARI lead the price gainers with net price change of 90.00, 35.00 and 34.62 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side UPFL, IDYM and WYETH remained top three price losers with net price change of -589.00, -46.06 and -35.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 69.15, 32.50 and 16.15 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 38.26, 13.04 and 8.44 points, while on the other side POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, Investment and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -25.90, -14.24 and -9.24 points respectively.
