Market Evening Wrap 13th Nov. 2020

Session Recap: The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,501.66pts with a gap of -62.89pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,689.60pts where a net change of 125.05pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,262.22pts with net chage of -302.33pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,569.35pts with net chage of 4.80pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 243.07 million shares with net change of -85.22 million shares or -25.96% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 120.41 million shares with net change of -46.70 million shares or -27.95%. PRL, UNITY and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 28.27, 19.56 and 15.30 and net price change of 4.53, 0.67 and -1.18 percent respectively.

Today,341 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 183 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 20 companies closed with no change but 138 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, NESTLE and SFL lead the price gainers with net price change of 79.50, 70.00 and 64.21 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, ISIL and PECO remained top three price losers with net price change of -205.00, -18.00 and -17.79 Pkr/share respectively.

Today REFINERY, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 38.95, 26.56 and 26.19 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have supported index by adding 30.48, 28.55 and 19.57 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -65.54, -40.00 and -4.97 points respectively.
