The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 43,951.99pts with a gap of 68.91pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,172.74pts where a net change of 289.66pts was recorded. While a day low of 43,067.61pts with net change of -815.47pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 43,221.78pts with net change of -661.30pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 354.91 million shares with net change of -49.94 million shares or -12.34% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 156.34 million shares with net change of -32.32 million shares or -17.13%. HASCOL, WTL and TELE remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 36.76, 28.87 and 17.01 and net price change of -16.23, -6.79 and -7.01 percent respectively.

Today, 307 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 158 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 135 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. MFFL, KSBP and GSKCH lead the price gainers with net price change of 11.68, 8.30 and 8.15 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, COLG and NESTLE remained top three price losers with net price change of -174.00, -79.31 and -65.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 91.05, 53.43 and 41.60 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST and PAPER & BOARD sectors have supported index by adding 10.96, 0.66 and 0.62 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -184.51, -107.10 and -65.86 points respectively.
