Market Evening Wrap 13th Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,265.43pts with a gap of 67.14pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,369.98pts where a net change of 171.69pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,168.75pts with net change of -29.54pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,270.46pts with net change of 72.17pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 395.81 million shares with net change of -30.59 million shares or -7.17% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 130.02 million shares with net change of -44.38 million shares or -25.45%. BYCO, SERFR and TPLP remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 44.97, 42.15 and 41.07 and net price change of 0.10, 18.71 and 5.03 percent respectively.

Today, 379 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 165 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 17 companies closed with no change but 197 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. AWTX, NESTLE and WYETH lead the price gainers with net price change of 101.12, 46.80 and 35.75 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, ATBA and BUXL remained top three price losers with net price change of -276.59, -49.66 and -36.35 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and MISCELLANEOUS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 85.88, 57.95 and 44.40 million shares respectively. CHEMICAL, COMMERCIAL BANKS and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 71.68, 42.50 and 25.07 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -63.01, -26.21 and -9.40 points respectively.
