Market Evening Wrap 13th jul 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,451.13pts with a gap of 4.05pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,586.07pts where a net change of 138.99pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,439.89pts with net change of -7.19pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,480.49pts with net change of 33.41pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 496.74 million shares with net change of 21.86 million shares or 4.6% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 102.46 million shares with net change of -4.57 million shares or -4.27%. WTL, WTL and GGGL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 48.04, 48.04 and 37.59 and net price change of -3.30, -3.30 and 6.96 percent respectively.

Today, 383 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 163 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 21 companies closed with no change but 199 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. KHTC, KHTC and KSBP lead the price gainers with net price change of 32.62, 32.62 and 21.93 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, NESTLE and BATA remained top three price losers with net price change of -59.99, -59.99 and -45.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and GLASS & CERAMICS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 243.48, 121.04 and 79.83 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, Investment and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 27.18, 21.14 and 15.47 points, while on the other side AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -15.79, -14.10 and -10.59 points respectively.
