Market Evening Wrap 14th Apr. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 30,979.68pts with a gap of -53.31pts. Later on index posted a high of 31,395.75pts where a net change of 362.76pts was recorded.While a day low of 30,941.07pts with net chage of -91.92pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 31,222.74pts with net chage of 189.75pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 130.19 million shares with net change of -23.37 million shares or -15.22% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 105.60 million shares with net change of -20.66 million shares or -16.37%. MLCF, HASCOL and PAEL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 11.41, 10.73 and 7.71 and net price change of 3.32, -0.20 and -1.37 percent respectively.

Today, 311 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 189 out of these closed with positive note while 22 companies closed within neutral zone, but 100 companies closed with net negative price change. SAPT, SFL and MTL lead the price gainers with net price change of 60.00, 51.07 and 38.92 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, SRVI and SITC remained top three price losers with net price change of -353.50, -20.45 and -17.81 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 37.55, 14.73 and 11.75 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have supported index by adding 85.83, 57.78 and 47.96 points, while on the other side FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and LEATHER & TANNERIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -34.71, -25.72 and -3.02 points respectively.
