Market Evening Wrap 14th April. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,080.79pts with a gap of 32.22pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,347.40pts where a net change of 298.83pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,080.79pts with net change of 32.22pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,311.22pts with net change of 262.65pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 341.87 million shares with net change of -131.56 million shares or -27.79% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 135.88 million shares with net change of -47.98 million shares or -26.10%. FNEL, MDTL and GGL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 43.11, 20.21 and 19.48 and net price change of -6.87, 15.07 and 4.18 percent respectively. Today, 348 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 187 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 24 companies closed with no change but 137 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. AKDCL, ISIL and ATLH lead the price gainers with net price change of 32.97, 24.99 and 19.88 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, GATI and MEHT remained top three price losers with net price change of -40.00, -36.42 and -33.26 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, Investment and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 97.16, 50.85 and 29.54 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 43.36, 29.30 and 23.55 points, while on the other side VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and SUGAR & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -3.57, -2.97 and -2.10 points respectively.
