Market Evening Wrap 14th Jul. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 36,669.79pts with a gap of 51.22pts. Later on index posted a high of 36,936.03pts where a net change of 317.46pts was recorded.While a day low of 36,534.70pts with net chage of -83.87pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 36,745.22pts with net chage of 126.65pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 466.24 million shares with net change of -2.64 million shares or -0.56% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 323.24 million shares with net change of -1.14 million shares or -0.35%. KEL, PAEL and MLCF remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 39.24, 33.54 and 25.27 and net price change of 8.57, 3.99 and -0.75 percent respectively.

Today, 350 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 187 out of these closed with net positive price change while 21 companies closed in neutral zone but 142 companies closed with net negative chagne at day end. SAPT, HINO and INDU lead the price gainers with net price change of 57.49, 36.51 and 28.86 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PMPK, IDYM and COLG remained top three price losers with net price change of -50.00, -41.00 and -34.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and CABLE & ELECTRICAL GOODS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 51.99, 48.10 and 37.93 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, Investment and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 59.40, 22.66 and 21.83 points, while on the other side CEMENT, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -27.21, -17.70 and -11.54 points respectively.
