Market Evening Wrap 14th May. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,897.18pts with a gap of 204.14pts. Later on index posted a high of 33,996.92pts where a net change of 303.88pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,686.99pts with net chage of -6.05pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,804.90pts with net chage of 111.86pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 240.07 million shares with net change of 20.87 million shares or 9.52% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 127.99 million shares with net change of -15.23 million shares or -10.63%. TRG, UNITY and AGL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 20.95, 18.64 and 14.80 and net price change of 6.86, 2.82 and 18.94 percent respectively.

Today, 330 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 176 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 19 companies closed with no change but 135 companies closed with net negative price change.NESTLE, UPFL and SAPL lead the price gainers with net price change of 262.71, 89.00 and 57.23 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side IDYM, BATA and INDU remained top three price losers with net price change of -42.00, -39.00 and -32.71 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 40.88, 29.08 and 21.31 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, Investment and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have supported index by adding 75.73, 31.11 and 29.30 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -73.24, -35.87 and -34.76 points respectively.
