Market Evening Wrap 14th Oct. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,062.98pts with a gap of 56.31pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,183.87pts where a net change of 177.19pts was recorded. While a day low of 40,845.77pts with net change of -160.91pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,144.29pts with net change of 137.61pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 232.79 million shares with net change of -57.29 million shares or -19.75% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 156.59 million shares with net change of -38.65 million shares or -19.8%. HASCOL, UNITY and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 57.52, 47.50 and 28.43 and net price change of 3.94, -0.44 and 9.99 percent respectively

Today,343 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 243 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 19 companies closed with no change but 81 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.UPFL, NESTLE and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 1040.00, 178.75 and 148.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side MUREB, PMRS and INDU remained top three price losers with net price change of -48.75, -28.99 and -27.24 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 64.25, 47.50 and 43.68 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 34.64, 22.46 and 18.38 points, while on the other side TOBACCO, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -6.93, -5.84 and -4.57 points respectively.
