The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 43,107.99pts with a gap of -113.79pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,431.65pts where a net change of 1,209.87pts was recorded. While a day low of 43,046.25pts with net change of -175.53pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,333.68pts with net change of 1,111.68pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 388.55 million shares with net change of 33.64 million shares or 9.48% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 150.13 million shares with net change of -6.21 million shares or -3.97%. WTL, UNITY and TELE remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 66.16, 25.03 and 18.99 and net price change of 17.96, 7.47 and 7.47 percent respectively.

Today, 379 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 295 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 70 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, RMPL and WYETH lead the price gainers with net price change of 135.00, 125.00 and 81.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side HINOON, PECO and MUREB remained top three price losers with net price change of -17.17, -14.50 and -10.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 124.60, 30.51 and 26.16 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 233.30, 209.11 and 148.08 points, while on the other side SYNTHETIC & RAYON, INSURANCE and REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -1.85, -0.86 and -0.66 points respectively.
