Market Evening Wrap 14th Sep. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,631.77pts with a gap of 101.10pts. Later on index posted a high of 42,720.98pts where a net change of 190.31pts was recorded.While a day low of 42,367.81pts with net chage of -162.86pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 42,531.31pts with net chage of 0.64pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 509.52 million shares with net change of -16.66 million shares or -3.17% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 289.62 million shares with net change of -20.10 million shares or -6.49%. HASCOL, PIBTL and FFL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 67.04, 42.93 and 29.87 and net price change of 4.39, 2.44 and 7.47 percent respectively.

Today,362 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 151 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 197 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, HINO and ICI lead the price gainers with net price change of 168.99, 46.70 and 25.04 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side UPFL, ILTM and MEHT remained top three price losers with net price change of -100.00, -66.08 and -33.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 80.01, 61.31 and 53.09 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 24.85, 20.39 and 12.38 points, while on the other side FERTILIZER, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -50.39, -16.56 and -13.92 points respectively.
