Market Evening Wrap 14th Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,332.83pts with a gap of 62.37pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,387.34pts where a net change of 116.88pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,607.21pts with net change of -663.25pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,891.34pts with net change of -379.12pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 479.73 million shares with net change of 83.92 million shares or 21.20% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 199.43 million shares with net change of 69.41 million shares or 53.39%. BYCO, TELE and WTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 71.67, 51.43 and 25.35 and net price change of -7.25, 2.01 and -3.03 percent respectively.

Today, 392 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 87 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 291 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. AWTX, AKDHL and DINT lead the price gainers with net price change of 108.70, 27.00 and 11.19 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, WYETH and GATI remained top three price losers with net price change of -244.99, -40.00 and -39.82 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 125.67, 82.18 and 26.44 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST and LEATHER & TANNERIES sectors have supported index by adding 9.54, 6.53 and 3.92 points, while on the other side FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -248.62, -136.25 and -90.09 points respectively.
