Market Evening Wrap 14th jun 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,966.81pts with a gap of 662.09pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,981.82pts where a net change of 677.10pts was recorded. While a day low of 48,540.34pts with net change of 235.62pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 48,726.08pts with net change of 421.36pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 1,217.83 million shares with net change of 193.62 million shares or 18.90% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 507.49 million shares with net change of 133.56 million shares or 35.72%. BYCO, HUMNL and WTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 109.21, 108.39 and 98.04 and net price change of 8.45, 0.70 and 0.24 percent respectively.

Today, 382 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 219 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 149 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, WYETH and GATI lead the price gainers with net price change of 190.00, 150.47 and 38.77 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NRL, HINO and EXIDE remained top three price losers with net price change of -15.82, -12.31 and -9.15 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 279.68, 159.84 and 90.78 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, CEMENT and ENGINEERING sectors have supported index by adding 205.99, 83.87 and 52.07 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, FERTILIZER and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -49.15, -40.04 and -16.54 points respectively.
