Market Evening Wrap 15th Apr. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 31,388.30pts with a gap of 165.56pts. Later on index posted a high of 31,795.18pts where a net change of 572.44pts was recorded.While a day low of 31,181.76pts with net chage of -40.98pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 31,242.19pts with net chage of 19.45pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 185.42 million shares with net change of 55.23 million shares or 42.43% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 145.41 million shares with net change of 39.81 million shares or 37.70%. MLCF, HASCOL and FCCL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 22.51, 10.92 and 9.56 and net price change of 0.13, -1.76 and 2.19 percent respectively.

Today, 334 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 190 out of those closed with net positive price change while 15 closed with no change but 129 companies closed with net negative price change. UPFL, RMPL and SAPL lead the price gainers with net price change of 500.00, 170.00 and 48.75 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, SAPT and SFL remained top three price losers with net price change of -260.00, -54.36 and -52.63 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 61.98, 15.66 and 14.25 million shares respectively. Investment, CEMENT and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 60.24, 24.06 and 17.61 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -101.25, -47.18 and -23.32 points respectively.
