Market Evening Wrap 15th April. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,389.97pts with a gap of 78.75pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,447.49pts where a net change of 136.27pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,174.89pts with net change of -136.33pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,230.18pts with net change of -81.04pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 347.67 million shares with net change of 5.79 million shares or 1.69% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 85.56 million shares with net change of -50.32 million shares or -37.03%. TELE, WTL and HUMNL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 73.58, 64.88 and 17.37 and net price change of 8.03, 5.41 and -4.30 percent respectively.

Today, 339 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 129 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 21 companies closed with no change but 189 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. BWHL, SAPT and NESTLE lead the price gainers with net price change of 67.75, 61.05 and 41.49 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side AKDCL, BATA and JLICL remained top three price losers with net price change of -35.01, -22.96 and -20.05 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 187.59, 23.02 and 21.17 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and Investment sectors have supported index by adding 17.55, 12.02 and 6.83 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -28.11, -27.50 and -10.19 points respectively.
