Market Evening Wrap 15th Jul. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 36,851.23pts with a gap of 106.01pts. Later on index posted a high of 36,891.98pts where a net change of 146.76pts was recorded.While a day low of 36,638.07pts with net chage of -107.15pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 36,679.03pts with net chage of -66.19pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 328.37 million shares with net change of -137.87 million shares or -29.57% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 227.61 million shares with net change of -95.62 million shares or -29.58%. MLCF, PAEL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 33.17, 27.11 and 21.79 and net price change of 2.68, 0.07 and -2.33 percent respectively.

Today, 340 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 132 out of these closed with net positive price change while 21 closed with no change but 187 closed with net positive price change at day end. BATA, PAKT and SAPT lead the price gainers with net price change of 86.82, 56.91 and 45.32 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side UPFL, PMRS and MTL remained top three price losers with net price change of -100.00, -40.58 and -31.24 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, COMMERCIAL BANKS and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 54.17, 34.57 and 34.05 million shares respectively. TOBACCO, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have supported index by adding 16.37, 16.26 and 9.16 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, Investment and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -30.47, -28.33 and -26.94 points respectively.
