The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,547.00pts with a gap of -64.23pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,547.00pts where a net change of -64.23pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,814.86pts with net change of -796.37pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,824.51pts with net change of -786.72pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 262.65 million shares with net change of 84.93 million shares or 47.79% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 164.45 million shares with net change of 49.39 million shares or 42.93%. UNITY, POWER and ANL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 45.35, 10.97 and 10.34 and net price change of 2.29, -1.11 and 7.46 percent respectively.

Today, 335 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 81 out of these closed with net positive price change while 22 closed with no change but 232 companies closed in negative zone at day end.RMPL, IDYM and PMRS lead the price gainers with net price change of 115.00, 20.50 and 17.67 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PAKT, SFL and MTL remained top three price losers with net price change of -67.25, -44.52 and -28.80 Pkr/share respectively.

Today VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES, CEMENT and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 45.35, 38.78 and 23.95 million shares respectively. PHARMACEUTICALS, TEXTILE SPINNING and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have supported index by adding 1.22, 1.19 and 1.19 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -203.19, -102.80 and -96.80 points respectively.
