Market Evening Wrap 15th Mar. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,415.11pts with a gap of 627.03pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,839.19pts where a net change of 1,051.11pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,104.07pts with net change of 315.99pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,766.59pts with net change of 978.51pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 455.55 million shares with net change of 13.03 million shares or 2.94% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 239.61 million shares with net change of 69.81 million shares or 41.11%. TRG, UNITY and FCCL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 24.90, 23.64 and 21.09 and net price change of 7.49, 7.49 and 1.94 percent respectively.

Today, 353 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 274 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 13 companies closed with no change but 66 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, NESTLE and SRVI lead the price gainers with net price change of 690.00, 286.25 and 57.58 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SUTM, WYETH and MUREB remained top three price losers with net price change of -71.03, -21.54 and -13.49 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 88.12, 63.90 and 46.74 million shares respectively. CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 198.11, 157.72 and 108.83 points, while on the other side CLOSE - END MUTUAL FUND, TOBACCO and PAPER & BOARD sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -3.49, -3.22 and -3.16 points respectively.
