Market Evening Wrap 15th Oct. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,233.28pts with a gap of 88.99pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,533.67pts where a net change of 389.38pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,006.46pts with net chage of -137.83pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,068.49pts with net chage of -75.80pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 324.75 million shares with net change of 91.97 million shares or 39.51% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 211.93 million shares with net change of 55.34 million shares or 35.34%. HASCOL, UNITY and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 57.52, 47.50 and 28.43 and net price change of 3.94, -0.44 and 9.99 percent respectively.

Today,381 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 183 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 20 companies closed with no change but 178 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. UPFL, NESTLE and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 1040.00, 178.75 and 148.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side MUREB, PMRS and INDU remained top three price losers with net price change of -48.75, -28.99 and -27.24 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 64.25, 47.50 and 43.68 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, CHEMICAL and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have supported index by adding 28.49, 21.79 and 12.84 points, while on the other side CEMENT, COMMERCIAL BANKS and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -32.07, -19.49 and -17.65 points respectively.
