Market Evening Wrap 15th Oct 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,417.74pts with a gap of 84.06pts. Later on index posted a high of 44,834.83pts where a net change of 501.15pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,197.14pts with net change of -136.54pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,821.53pts with net change of 487.85pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 334.25 million shares with net change of -54.29 million shares or -13.97% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 152.02 million shares with net change of 1.89 million shares or 1.26%. SERF, UNITY and WTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 34.26, 26.47 and 25.49 and net price change of 7.04, 6.28 and -1.65 percent respectively.

Today, 375 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 237 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 15 companies closed with no change but 123 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, HINOON and FEROZ lead the price gainers with net price change of 50.00, 42.51 and 20.60 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side WYETH, MARI and PAKT remained top three price losers with net price change of -83.25, -62.88 and -47.17 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, TEXTILE WEAVING and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 66.52, 35.83 and 26.48 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, FERTILIZER and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 137.70, 78.80 and 56.56 points, while on the other side TOBACCO, GLASS & CERAMICS and MISCELLANEOUS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -14.11, -3.85 and -1.77 points respectively.
