Market Evening Wrap 15th Sep. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,594.98pts with a gap of 63.67pts. Later on index posted a high of 42,831.01pts where a net change of 299.70pts was recorded.While a day low of 42,263.22pts with net chage of -268.09pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 42,346.42pts with net chage of -184.89pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 662.80 million shares with net change of 153.28 million shares or 30.08% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 411.06 million shares with net change of 121.44 million shares or 41.93%. HASCOL, KEL and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 63.86, 54.04 and 42.62 and net price change of -1.04, 0.49 and 4.19 percent respectively.

Today,373 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 117 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 24 companies closed with no change but 232 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, UPFL and ILTM lead the price gainers with net price change of 213.00, 100.00 and 70.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side GLPL, TICL and ATLH remained top three price losers with net price change of -24.99, -20.91 and -17.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 74.36, 74.21 and 65.95 million shares respectively. ENGINEERING, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES sectors have supported index by adding 12.97, 12.96 and 6.80 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and INSURANCE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -62.67, -33.99 and -22.11 points respectively.
