Market Evening Wrap 15th Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,945.64pts with a gap of 54.30pts. Later on index posted a high of 46,952.31pts where a net change of 60.97pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,505.13pts with net change of -386.21pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,716.72pts with net change of -174.62pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 332.74 million shares with net change of -147.00 million shares or -30.64% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 118.28 million shares with net change of -81.15 million shares or -40.69%. TPL, TELE and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 29.62, 28.26 and 23.29 and net price change of 7.31, -4.89 and -1.21 percent respectively.

Today, 387 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 132 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 27 companies closed with no change but 228 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. AWTX, WYETH and AKDHL lead the price gainers with net price change of 116.84, 28.00 and 20.16 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, BUXL and COLG remained top three price losers with net price change of -54.51, -26.06 and -25.01 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 94.62, 28.17 and 22.18 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and INSURANCE sectors have supported index by adding 30.17, 16.91 and 3.62 points, while on the other side CEMENT, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and PHARMACEUTICALS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -80.83, -25.78 and -22.77 points respectively.
