Market Evening Wrap 15th jul 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,498.61pts with a gap of 7.14pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,737.38pts where a net change of 245.91pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,388.42pts with net change of -103.05pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,628.26pts with net change of 136.79pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 506.10 million shares with net change of -2.06 million shares or -0.41% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 191.69 million shares with net change of 28.69 million shares or 17.60%. WTL, KEL and TPL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 50.82, 38.93 and 36.35 and net price change of -2.05, 3.84 and 2.86 percent respectively.

Today, 393 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 206 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 18 companies closed with no change but 169 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. WYETH, UPFL and SAPT lead the price gainers with net price change of 150.37, 140.00 and 30.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PAKT, SIEM and SHEZ remained top three price losers with net price change of -71.17, -27.01 and -27.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 119.10, 44.89 and 43.04 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 54.91, 48.36 and 45.30 points, while on the other side TOBACCO, Investment and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -22.69, -20.67 and -13.79 points respectively.
