Market Evening Wrap 15th jun 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,781.44pts with a gap of 55.36pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,841.47pts where a net change of 115.39pts was recorded. While a day low of 48,511.58pts with net change of -214.50pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 48,632.56pts with net change of -93.52pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 1,224.53 million shares with net change of 6.70 million shares or 0.55% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 699.38 million shares with net change of 191.89 million shares or 37.81%. KEL, WTL and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 312.97, 147.62 and 129.35 and net price change of 10.61, -6.15 and 1.48 percent respectively.

Today, 378 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 131 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 24 companies closed with no change but 223 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. WYETH, INDU and SHEZ lead the price gainers with net price change of 39.97, 27.20 and 24.65 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, MTL and SIEM remained top three price losers with net price change of -68.99, -21.12 and -19.62 Pkr/share respectively.

Today POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 327.41, 219.08 and 148.76 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, CHEMICAL and PHARMACEUTICALS sectors have supported index by adding 91.95, 16.32 and 11.10 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and REFINERY sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -42.87, -36.45 and -23.88 points respectively.
