Market Evening Wrap 16th Dec. 2019

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,033.37pts with a positive gap of 116.78pts and bulls take over the market with opening and market moved straight forward towards its day high at 41,699.04pts with net change of 782.45pts. While day low remained the market opening price and session settled at 41,644.88pts with net change of 728.29pts at day end.

Trading volume at PSX floor inched up and settled at 357.79 million shares with net change of 87.08 million shares or 32.17% on DoD basis. While on the other side trading volume of KSE100 listed companies followed the trend and settled at 222.33 million shares with net change of 41.98 million shares or 7.57% on DoD basis. HACOLR1, UNITY and SSGC lead the volume numbers with net trading volume of 53.26, 31.25 and 16.07 million shares with net price change of 7.90, 2.93 and 4.99 percent respectively.

Today, 371 companies participated in trading at PSX and 257 out of these closed with a net positive change while 17 companies closed with no change but 97 companies closed in negative zone at day end. NESTLE, RMPL and PAKT lead the price gainers with net price change of 380.00, 100.00 and 55.00 Rs/shares respectively. While on the other side SAPT, SFL and WYETH remained top three price losers with net price change of -49.99, -46.84 and -15.33 Rs/share.

Banks, OMCs and Cement sectors lead the volume figures at PSX with net trading volume of 44.25, 33.46 and 32.62 million shares. OMCs, Banks and Cement Sectors remained top three index moving sectors and these have added 244.43, 172.87 and 51.88 points in index with accumulated average price change of 3.77, 1.46 and 2.66 percent in their respective companies.
