Market Evening Wrap 16th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,890.22pts with a gap of 65.71pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,138.30pts where a net change of 313.79pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,848.93pts with net change of 24.42pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,019.12pts with net change of 194.61pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 217.74 million shares with net change of -44.91 million shares or -17.10% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 101.46 million shares with net change of -62.99 million shares or -38.30%. UNITY, AGL and TPL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 20.63, 11.03 and 8.06 and net price change of 0.39, 18.82 and 24.57 percent respectively.

Today, 356 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 233 out of these closed with net positive price change while 29 closed without any change but 94 companies closed with net negative price change. RMPL, MARI and WYETH lead the price gainers with net price change of 75.00, 36.51 and 25.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, FASM and UPFL remained top three price losers with net price change of -134.00, -21.00 and -18.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CHEMICAL, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 28.68, 27.98 and 20.65 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 74.72, 44.64 and 23.23 points, while on the other side FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS, AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER and MISCELLANEOUS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -9.16, -6.18 and -2.56 points respectively.
