The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 35,664.90pts with a negative gap of -395.90pts during current trading session while KSE30 index hit its first circuit breaker till 10:13AM and trading was suspended for 45 minutes at PSX floor at that time KSE100 index was trading at 34,409.60pts with net change of -1,651.20pts. Later on after restoration of trading index posted its day low at 33,618.90pts with net change of 2,241.98pts, while session suspended at 33,684.91pts with net change of -2,375.97pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 215.44 million shares with net change of -75.03 million shares or 25.83% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also faced decline and settled at 170.25 million shares with net change of -67.43 million shares or 28.37% on DoD basis. BOP, MLCF and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 44.38, 13.51 and 9.35 million shares and net price change of -9.90, -7.47 and -8.10 percent respectively.

Today, 333 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 22 out of these closed with net positive price change while 10 companies closed with no price change but 301 companies closed with net negative price change. ILTM, SFL and SHEZ lead the price gainers with net price change of 91.00, 47.40 and 16.00 Pkr/share. While on the other side RMPL, UPFL and BATA remained top three price losers with net price change of -213.75, -200.00 and -110.01 Pkr/share respectively.

Cement, Banks and OMCs remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 90.13, 47.27 and 24.98 million shares respectively. Banks, Exploration and Fertilizer sectors have dragged index into negative zone by -711.51, -358.48 and -287.81 points with accumulated average price change of -6.70, -7.50 and -5.58 percent respectively.
