Market Evening Wrap 16th Nov. 2020

Session Recap:The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,574.72pts with a gap of 5.37pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,790.39pts where a net change of 221.04pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,470.12pts with net chage of -99.23pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,504.75pts with net chage of -64.60pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 181.41 million shares with net change of -61.65 million shares or -25.37% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 115.80 million shares with net change of -4.61 million shares or -3.83%. KEL, MLCF and SNGP remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 24.91, 14.49 and 14.17 and net price change of 5.04, 0.10 and 0.45 percent respectively.

Today,318 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 134 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 18 companies closed with no change but 166 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. UPFL, ILTM and BATA lead the price gainers with net price change of 249.00, 107.06 and 24.67 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side WYETH, GLPL and PECO remained top three price losers with net price change of -54.29, -19.60 and -16.41 Pkr/share respectively.

Today POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 26.57, 24.07 and 23.16 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 20.59, 15.33 and 13.76 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -51.61, -28.12 and -16.55 points respectively.
