The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,729.00pts with a gap of 12.28pts. Later on index posted a high of 46,958.37pts where a net change of 241.65pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,623.41pts with net change of -93.31pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,920.46pts with net change of 203.74pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 405.10 million shares with net change of 72.37 million shares or 21.75% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 133.58 million shares with net change of 15.29 million shares or 12.93%. SERFR, WTL and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 61.63, 44.90 and 32.30 and net price change of 26.27, 6.41 and 5.46 percent respectively.

Today, 385 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 185 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 178 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. AWTX, BHAT and IBFL lead the price gainers with net price change of 125.61, 76.50 and 12.21 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, SAPT and COLG remained top three price losers with net price change of -113.50, -85.00 and -30.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 139.23, 34.14 and 23.79 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 87.47, 54.82 and 47.20 points, while on the other side CEMENT, PHARMACEUTICALS and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -24.29, -14.22 and -8.90 points respectively.
